Junior
Anika Kakar delivered a standout season for the Seven Hills Girls Basketball team, establishing herself as one of the most productive players in the entire Stingers basketball program. Across 16 games, Kakar consistently led the offense and finished the year with the strongest statistical output of any Seven Hills basketball player, girls or boys, while serving as a leader for the young roster.
Kakar's scoring punch was on display all season. She recorded multiple 20-point performances, including 23 points in a win over SBEP, 21 points in a victory on Feb. 4, and another 21-point effort on Feb. 2, helping guide the Stingers in several key moments. Her ability to score from all areas of the floor and knock down free throws made her a constant challenge for opposing defenses.
Beyond the numbers, Kakar's impact showed in her leadership. As a junior, she set the tone in practices and games, modeling the work ethic and energy that defined the team throughout the season. Her playmaking, defensive effort, and steady presence helped anchor the Stingers on both ends of the court.
Head Coach J praised Kakar's approach to the game and the example she sets for the program. "Ani is incredibly coachable and a great leader for our group," Coach J said. "She works hard, listens, and keeps improving. I'm excited to see what her senior year brings." With another offseason ahead, Kakar looks poised to build on an already impressive season.
