The Seven Hills Athletic Department is excited to announce that Jennifer Burgoyne has agreed to become the next Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach at Seven Hills. She is no stranger to the program as she has served as both an assistant and head coach at the junior varsity level for our program. Former Head Coach Tyler McIlwraith states that "although it is very hard to step aside from this amazing program, it is gratifying when you know that the next coach comes from our Stinger family and has the background and experience to continue to build this program."
In addition to her years coaching at Seven Hills, Coach Burgoyne had an impressive playing career at both the high school and collegiate levels. As a three-year starter at McAuley High School, she was named first team All-GGCL her junior and senior years, second team all-southwest her junior year, and first team all-district her senior year. In college at Thomas More College, Coach Burgoyne led the nation in field goal percentage and her team to the DIII Tournament Elite Eight.
"I am very appreciative to Coach McIlwraith for everything she has taught me and the program she has built and for the Seven Hills community for giving me this opportunity to coach these young athletes. I'm honored, motivated, and ready to get after it. Go Stingers!" – Coach Burgoyne
