The Seven Hills boys varsity golf team wrapped up their season in style with a strong showing at the OHSAA Division III State Tournament, held at NorthStar Golf Club in Columbus on October 11th and 12th. The Stingers finished 5th overall, capping off a remarkable season and demonstrating their resilience against Ohio's top competition.
Leading the charge for Seven Hills was senior Billy Good, who shot a combined 155 (78-77), securing a spot in the top 20. Fellow senior William Hartmann and sophomore Matia Kastner both delivered solid rounds, each carding a total score of 162. Their performances played a pivotal role in the team's overall success, helping the Stingers stay competitive in a tough field.
Head Coach Vining reflected on the team's efforts, saying, "I'm incredibly proud of how our guys performed at state. They've worked hard all season, and it's great to see them rise to the challenge on the biggest stage. Billy and William were tremendous leaders all year, and the younger players really stepped up as well."
With the 5th-place finish, the Stingers conclude an outstanding season, and their state appearance underscores a bright future for the program.
