Seven Hills Mens' Tennis participated in one of the most competitive Sectionals in recent history. The Cincinnati Sectionals had a State Champion and seven State qualifiers in the semi finals round on Saturday. The matches were held at the new Walnut Hills High School indoor facility recently completed. Seven Hills Senior, Cole Cozens beat Indian Hills Jack Pollock in the semifinals, 7-5, 6-2 in a close battle. Seven Hills Junior, Avi Mahajan defeated RJ Poffenberger from Inidan Hill in the semi finals, 6-3, 7-5. Cole and Avi battled in the finals of Sectionals with Cole winning, 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles, Juniors John Corbett and Ethan Blatt came in second place in Sectionals after defeating a tough Indian Hills team in the semi finals. Senior Neel Parameswaran and Gavin Isakov came in third in Sectionals beating two tough competitors from Indian Hill.

Districts will be held on Thursday, May 18, at the ATP Center in Mason. First round matches begin at 9:00 am. Two rounds will be played to get the draw to the semi finals. The semi and finals will be held Saturday morning at the ATP Center in Mason on Saturday, May 20, 9:00 am. Tickets can be purchased at OHSAA.org/tickets.
