Tim Drew to be inducted into GCTCA Hall of Fame

The Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches Association has named its second Hall of Fame class, and Seven Hills is proudly represented. Longtime Stingers tennis coach Tim Drew will be inducted in 2025, securing his place among the region's most accomplished coaches.

Drew, who leads both the boys and girls tennis programs at Seven Hills, has built a remarkable career over 36 seasons. Since arriving at the school in 1989, he has earned more than 900 career victories, collected 28 Coach of the Year honors, and guided his teams to consistent postseason success, including a state championship in 2022. He also served as vice president of the GCTCA for more than a decade and as president for two years.

Joining Drew in the 2025 class are Turpin girls tennis coach Gail Maundrell and former Wyoming head coach Jerry Scheele. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, September 6 at The Original Montgomery Inn. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner. Tickets are $50 and include dinner and one drink. Soft drinks are also included, and a cash bar will be available.

Drew's induction adds another highlight to a decorated career. He is already a member of the Ohio Coaches Hall of Fame and was named National Coach of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association in 2019. Now, the GCTCA Hall of Fame will honor a coach who has shaped generations of Seven Hills tennis players with excellence, integrity, and leadership.
